Strip #5 - A New Hope

Gah! Man... started at panel one... worked across.. had no idea where it would end up!

Got bogged down in the elephant thing... too hard to draw that late at night! And I think that drawing with the brush pen is kind of slowing down my spontaneity!

But some fun little bits of drawing in there... and simpler, funnier tomorrow!

I like the stream of conscience thing... It has a sort of Zippy kind of sensibility.

These crazy cartoons are coming thick and fast!

Tell us, Mr Onions, about how much time do you spend on each one?

And more impotantly, are you having fun doing it?

Also, are we gonna see any colour episodes!?

Knife! Stick with the brush pen! You are doing some incredible work with that thing!
I'm with andyg, how long does it take you to do one?
For me, it takes anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour.

Well, they take me about half an hour or so... I do a little warming up with the brush pen first, just to get my brain in to gear and take away some of the fear of that first mark on the paper!

Mr Robo, I shall continue with the brush pen... I was just tired and in a bad mood last night... :P

This here blog strip is here to stay...

Rad! I'm with the brush consesus. There is no bad idea. Editor free! Stay the course and go with your gut instinct. If you feel like you messed up, there's always tomorrow.

I'm with Skribbl! The great thing about the 2x8 strip is that it is an expression of pure creativity. You sit down with that little strip and your brush pen and maybe a mere sliver of a thought as to what to draw, and then boom, you just start drawing, making choices as you go. The result is a strip that is a pure representation of YOU and your sensibilities. I am glad that you are going to continue!!!

I'm with those guys... brush pen and with the nature of this strips. I find that once I get the germ of an idea for a strip, that is all I need to get a move on and make it happen.
